With accordance to the proboards ToS we are a PG-13 site. This means no graphic violence, sex, etc. This isn't hard to do and everyone should know this by now anyways. Be respectful to the staff and other members. All we want to do is make this site a positive environment to play in. If you have an issue with someone/thing please pm a staff member and we will handle it. Please no advertising in the cbox. There is a board dedicated to that so it would be wonderful if you used it. I shouldn't have to say this one, but NO STEALING! If anything is caught being stolen your accounts will be banned. This includes graphics, posting templates, codes, concepts, etc. Please keep all graphics at a max width of 600px because otherwise it stretches the board. This mainly covers signatures and posting tables. For avatars you will have your main one which has to be sized at 220x350. There is also a smaller one which can be an image or GIF sized at 220x120 and the proboards default one sized at 150x150.
Titans is a an account-per-character site which means every character will have their own account. In addition to this, you will also make your own OOC account. This account should be the account you make first. Your OOC account will be used for posting anything pertaining to yourself such as OOC games or hellos/hiatus. If you have any questions regarding this please feel free to ask! IC account display names will be displayed as "First Last". If there is a nickname/alias your character prefers to go by it can replace the first name, or be placed into "First 'Alias' Last". It's up to you. You may have as many characters as you want so long as you can handle them. Try to keep the gender ratios even but it doesn't have to be 50/50.
We are an advanced roleplay site which means while posting in character please use proper grammar and punctuation. I'm more lenient about when posting out of character. When posting your character application make sure the title is LAST, FIRST MIDDLE in all caps. Before you are allowed to post in character your application has to have been accepted. Please also post your claims before you get started. There is a word count of about 250 on this site. This is about two paragraphs. It is not hard to do and, while I encourage you to post more, focus on quality over quantity. Give your roleplay partner enough to reply to. A small amount of swearing is allowed in character but please do not go overboard with it. There is absolutely no power-playing, god-moding, etc. We go by liquid-time on this site which means you are allowed to have your characters in a few threads at once. All posts must be made in third-person POV.
Characters can have up to three powers. It is rare for characters to have three but it can happen. It is also uncommon for characters to have one power. The most common is two. If your character has more than one power, likely they will not have all of them under control. Powers are commonly discovered around the ages 12-18 though may be discovered before or after those ages. Not all powers are discovered at the same time.
A single character may not have more than one rank four power or more than two rank three powers. See the ability ranks for more information about rankings. Abilities take years to fully understand and control. If your character is 20 and found his invisibility gift at 18 and his pyrokinesis gift at 13 he should have better control of his pyrokinesis. Maybe this means he isn't yet able to control how long he stays invisible for or what parts of him turn invisible. Everyone's powers affect them differently so their weaknesses are up to you. Powers do not have to be related. They can be, if you so wish, but they do not have to be. No more than five people can have the same ability. This may change in the future but I think everyone would prefer it if half the characters did not have super strength.
Powers are passed on through genes, though it may skip a generation or two so your character's parents don't have to have it.
